Nicholas Karr – Day 6

Industry: 5/5
Order: 1/5
Flexibility: 4/5
Resolution: 5/5
Tranquility: 1/5

Today I did pretty well in a couple of the virtues. I certainly spent a lot of time working dedicatedly on industry, though it was not in a particularly ordered fashion. I’m up a bit late on that regard. This week should allow me to become more ordered because I’ll be more focused on school. I also continue to forget that cleanliness is not actually one of my virtues. If it was, going for a run today would count for it and flexibility. Running is difficult, but it’s good family time. My day was for the most part wasted today, but I had to go through it to find that out.

  1. That’s great that you run with your family. Sounds like a good, healthy way to spend time together. I totally understand doing a lot of work in a very unorganized fashion (also staying up far too late). Hopefully you have more tranquil, orderly days in the future 🙂

  2. It is good to hear that you have high hopes for this week, it is always good to start the week high spirited. Going on a run with your family is great too. It is always hard to get me to go on a run but the benefits it provides are always amazing.

  3. I also noticed that it’s harder to maintain order during the weekend because there is less structure. I’m hoping I too can get back on top of things this week in school. Running is a great habit and I think it’s great that you keep up with that. Good luck this week!

  4. I have the opposite problem and continually forget that cleanliness is one of my virtues. Good for you that you are thinking about a virtue that you don’t even have to though! Maintaining order on Sundays/the weekends is next to impossible so I wouldn’t feel too bad about that.
