Day 5 – Nov 13th

Productivity was a struggle today, as I didn’t get much work done even though I had a lot of free time to do it. I went to tennis practice and worked out, but other than that I didn’t do a whole lot. I did well with Tranquility as after working out I took a nice shower and a nap. After that I enjoyed some time with my parents catching up because I was very busy last week and didn’t have much time to talk with them. I also improved on my virtue Acceptance. I found myself wishing I had done more work, but I quickly reminded myself that it is okay to take a break and not constantly be productive. Finally, before bed I worked on my virtue Cleanliness by making a to-do list for the next day and organizing my school work and schedule for the upcoming week.

  1. Good job on acceptance, I honestly feel like I sometimes struggle with productivity even more on the days when I have a lot of free time because it’s just so easy to put off doing things. A to-do list is a really smart way to implicate cleanliness and industry in daily life. I have something similar in my planner and it really helps me get things done.

  2. I’m glad you could take a nap and relaxing shower — don’t beat yourself up too much about not being 100% productive, sometimes self-care days are the best thing you can do for yourself. And I’m glad that you reminded yourself it’s okay to take a break! I’m sure you got more done today than you thought, so focus on the things you DID accomplish rather than what you didn’t.

  3. Good job with acceptance, no reason to feel bad about the stuff you didn’t do. Still seems like you had a productive day. Keep it up!

  4. It is ok that today was a struggle for your virtues. Everyone has off days and you just have to come back stronger the next day. You still got some done so thats definitely something to be proud of.
